Everybody loves a good party and if your guests are up on the dance floor having fun at your wedding, you know it will be a night they will always remember.

To find the DJ who will make your reception everything you want it to be, you have to start off with a clear picture of the style you want. You need a DJ who will create a soundtrack for your wedding that is based on your style, taste, and vision for the day.

One size does not fit all, so be clear about what you want. Do some homework and have must-play and do-not-play lists, no matter how short or long. You are in control of the music that will be played and you need to allocate time to work with your DJ to come up with lists of songs to play and when you want them played (e.g. cake-cutting, bouquet throw, first dance).

Ask the DJ how he/she encourages guests to get up on the dance floor, whether it's asking couples to join the newlyweds for a good-luck dance or playing your favourite songs that are a “blast from the past”. How do they do it, what is there style?

You want to make sure your DJ understands how to read your guests, build up the energy and then keep it upgoing There should never be a lull, your DJ needs to have the ability to blend all sorts of genres to accommodate everyone and keep them on the dance floor.

Word of mouth referrals are a great way to start, I have seen this guy in action, he is professional, he has a fantastic range of music genres, he gets the party started, keeps it going and has amazing equipment too. Check out DJ Sash.
