While outdoor summer weddings can be really beautiful, that doesn’t mean they don’t come with their own set of problems. From frizzy hair to melting makeup, heavy suits and open-air venues – the sun, heat and humidity can lead to all sorts of problems that no bridal party or guest wants to run into! Here are a few Happy Heart tips to help your day feel a whole lot cooler:

Tie your hair up - Opting for an up-do will prevent your hair from turning into a frizzy mess, and keep you looking cool, calm and collected.

Wear light colours - Avoid dressing in dark clothing, stay cool with a dress in a pale or pastel shade, and encourage the groom to pick light coloured suits.

Create plenty of shade – When the sun is blazing, having a tent or gazebo at your wedding is sure to provide additional comfort for your guests.

Stay hydrated - Have lots of water available for your guests and bridal party, and stay hydrated throughout the day by drinking lots of water.

Pack your sunglasses - Shade yourself from the bright sun and pack a pair of sunglasses that go with your outfit, wear them between photos or during the pics to add a bit of fun.

Wave the fan - Offer each guest a fan on his or her chair so that everyone can stay cool and enjoy your beautiful personalised ceremony.
